ABOUT ME

You will get to know more about me along the way via this blog, however capturing my life in a few sentences...

After growing up on a dairy farm in regional Victoria, I left school early and briefly worked in the local supermarket, at which time knew there was something more for me out there. 
With no idea what that was I decided at 17 to leave home and head for the big smoke - Melbourne.  Knowing one person in the city I managed to complete some data input training, find a part time job just before I ran out of money and start my new life.  Looking back so naive and trusting that everything would "just work out"!

I  have been lucky enough to have worked in a variety of Senior Roles within the Insurance Industry including Internationally and have an amazing business community network.

I love business and am passionate about diversity. I am an avid traveller, adorer of all animals (yes the crazy lady who stops people on the street so that I can pat their dog) and am blessed with wonderful family and friends.

I have reached a point where I need to do more than just read, comment or complain about why we cannot get the diversity balance right... thus this blog which I hope will make a difference to a few in their developing career.
